Jim Van Arsdale

With over 25 years of service to credit unions, Jim’s experience provides a perspective uncommon among credit union consultants. In concert with the industry’s subject matter experts, he provides solutions to the challenge of talent retention while facilitating an orderly succession to the next generation of leadership. Jim’s clients are some of the nation’s most successful credit unions. A credit union member since 1981 himself, Jim began his career with CUNA Brokerage in fixed-income sales. He was soon tapped as president when CNBS, an investment CUSO, was formed by corporate credit unions.

Jim and his family moved to New England in 1999 and he was recruited as President/CEO of The Central Credit Union Fund in 2004. As leader of this corporate credit union, he worked tirelessly to help credit unions in New England reach their goals and serve their members. After restoring the $300 million corporate credit union to financial and operating health, he led the merger with Members United Corporate, one of the country’s largest. Jim has been married to his wife, Cindy, for more than 35 years. They have two married children and a granddaughter.
